SERMON TEXT: Romans 1:13-15
TITLE: An Eager Oligation
THEME: Another example from Paul that we should follow
TEXT: I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I have often intended to come to you (but thus far have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you as well as among the rest of the Gentiles. I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.

OUTLINE:

  1. Paul repeats that he has wanted to, prayed to, and been stopped form, visiting Rome.
  2. In addition to mutual encouragements, Paul want s to “reap a harvest”, to bring ripened fruit as an offering to God.
  3. Paul was obligated to preach to non-believers, Jewish, Gentile, Greek, Non-Greek
  4. .Paul was obligated to preach the Gospel to believers.  Hmmmm…..
