Of David.
37 Fret not yourself because of evildoers;
— Psalm 37:1-7
be not envious of wrongdoers!
2 For they will soon fade like the grass
and wither like the green herb.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him, and he will act.
6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!
I was thrilled to hear this sermon again. It was over 40 years ago that I first heard Jimmy DiRaddo at Family Camp at Delta Lake Bible Conference Center in Rome, NY where he spoke this sermon. I never forgot it and it has helped me through many circumstances in my life. I have heard many evangelists and preachers throughout my life but this is one of the few sermons that I have remembered and that have impacted my life. I did go on to Bible college for a year and married a minister. We were in full time ministry for about 20 years and then were in the secular work force for the next 15 years. We are now retired and I have spent some time searching the web for different things and that’s how I discovered this web page and listened again to this sermon that was so important to my life. I would like to thank Pastor DiRaddo and let him know that he has made an impact on lives through his years of ministry.
Greetings, I’m Jim Dorton, pastor of Three Stones Church, where my friend and mentor Jim Di Raddo gave that wonderful message in my absence. You are not the only person to be moved by it; dozens of our parishoners still comment on it! In the view I have of your comment, I cannot see your name or email. I would love to pass them along to the “other” Jim D. If you would like, please contact me at pastorjim@threestoneschurch.org or 302-538-6031. God bless!
Hey, Char, I’m in the same boat! Long time ago I heard Pastor Jimmy’s talk and also was highly impacted. As I was with my time working with you and yours during the Renewal & Reconciliation movement! Soooooo many wonderful investments in my life, I can’t help but pay it forward, as it were! Many blessings, ~RuthAnn Purchase James
