Thoughts to Consider

  • What do all those names, listed by Luke at the beginning of Jesus’ ministry have to do with Palm Sunday?
  • While you might recognize a few of those names, most are unfamiliar; but – are any unimportant in bringing about the life of Jesus?
  • All of the listed history existed, primarily, to bring about the Christ child; Jesus whole life led to this ride to Jerusalem; He is the focal point of it all.
  • There were three groups of people that saw Jesus enter the city: disciples, people that wanted to stop Him, people that wanted to praise Him. Which are you?

But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side 44 and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
