SERMON TEXT: Acts 27:1-28:10
TITLE: The Church Goes to the World, Part 3: The Church is Alive!
THEME: Was there ever any doubt that Paul was going to make it to Rome?  You bet.  The soldiers doubted.  The sailors doubted.  Some of the disciples may have doubted.  But God’s will was plainly spoken to Paul:  “The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.” (23:11).  And so:
•   Paul arrives in Rome  (28:11-16)
•    Though in chains – Paul calls the local Jews to open dialogue (28:17-22)
•    Though in chains – Paul preaches the Gospel to the local Jews (28:23-27)
•    And he continues to preach the Gospel, at a great personal expense, and the church is alive! (28:28-31)
