– for peace

Child did not come for money nor power

Jews had to create nonreligious charges to romans
– seditious , overthrow govt
– encouraging not paying taxes
– a king

King charge
– got Pilates attention
– a king that could cause rome trouble
– jews knew rome would respond

Jews rejected jesus’ ‘christ’ title
